blue sky and empty roads

I love living in a rural area. Some people may say that the only reason someone likes the rural area is because they haven't seen the world, but I've been to England, Germany and all over this great country we call America and where I love the most is rural areas.
I like that when I go to the grocery store I know every other person. I like that I don't lock my rig. I like that anything bigger than a car is a rig. I love camo, mudding, shooting shit up and spending time outside. I'd rather camp than go to a big city and I have more guns than curling irons.
I drove 75 miles round trip today, I drove out to the county and saw some friends whose parents homesteaded out on South Park Road in the early 1900's. I spent time in a house whose one form of heat is a wood stove and drank water hand gotten from a well. They got cell phone reception in 2008 before that they had an old satellite phone. I saw 100 head of elk grazing and acres and acres of open land. I worried about hitting cattle on the road, open range area, everybody learns how much you have to pay for butcher fees if you hit a cow on the road.
I fight fire and save lives off of an ambulance for a hobby. My paying job is working as a sales associate for the grand corporation of Macys. I drive a rig that is probably killing the ozone layer, i believe in killing wolves and the right to carry a gun whenever I please.
So if you read this blog now you've been properly warned about me :)
